Chocolate!

The cacao tree, Theobroma cacao, grows in tropical areas and doesn't like areas that are too cold or to dry. It is a delicate tree that can die from fungus and other sort of diseases. It has to be protected from wind and sun and also from animals who like to eat its pods. The cacao bean grows inside the pods that are connected to the tree. The cacao tree can live about twenty years and usually bears fruit in it's third year. This is a picture of the cacao!

  
The first thing that I do when I open a chocolate bar is I smell it. You have to smell it profoundly first, then you will get used to it and you will know just by the smell of the chocolate if it is good or not. This chocolate brand is a good one compared to many national brands around. It smells like chocolate, which is something you always have to look for when buying chocolate. It is not the best one in my opinion but I usually buy it. It has a good price too. John Cadbury is the founder of the company and the first store was opened in 1824. What I like about this brand is that they have different flavors. I like the bar with chocolate, raisins and almonds. Try one and let me know what you think by commenting below if you wish. There is a book called Why Women Need Chocolate, by Debra Waterhouse, when she was researching for her book she interviewed some women in a survey.

The survey revealed that:

97 % of them had cravings, the majority for chocolate ( 68 %)

50 % would prefer chocolate over sex

22 % would choose chocolate as a mood elevator compared to men's choice

Not so good!

When I buy chocolate that tastes bad it really pisses me off. I spend money with something that tastes really bad, sometimes I just return the product, sometimes I just put it in the garbage. One of the bars that I don't like is one called Crunch, it tastes like rice krispies with sugar and fat. I tried it for a couple of times but I came to the conclusion that that bar has no chocolate taste whatsoever. I don't waste my money on that anymore.

The best almond toffee I've ever tasted comes from Colorado. It is delicious, it melts in your mouth and its quality is really good. The price is right for the quality of the product, no questions! Their customer service is great too. I never bought their other products but I will try them too. The company's name is ENSTROM. Try it you will love it!

Why is chocolate so delicious and mysterious in many ways? Why do women love chocolate when they feel depressed? And why does chocolate help us? Because it's a natural stimulant, some author's call it the "prozac of plants". I believe chocolate helps to balance some chemicals in our body, it makes people feel happy after eating it. There are many researches about this topic and I will talk more about it later.
